1. Do I have to be current to participate in WrightSeat?

In order to be pilot in command and list your flights on WrightSeat you must follow all applicable laws and regulations. Any pilot still in possession of their license is eligible to catch a ride on WrightSeat.

2. Can I sign up my family/friends for a WrightSeat ride?

Of course but as the pilot, and member of the WrightSeat community, please accompany them on the ride.

3. I can't find a ride that works for me on WrightSeat?

Post your plans on the WrightSeat bulletin board and see if you get a match. WrightSeat is new and growing. There may not be rides in some areas just yet. Tell your friends and spread the word.

4. What is  WrightSeat?

WrightSeat is a ridehsharing app exclusively for pilots. Whether your plane is in for annual and you need a ride or maybe you want some company on your next trip, one of your fellow pilots may be headed the same direction.

5. How do I pay my share with WrightSeat?

WrightSeat has a built in payment processor to help make sure the funds are directed to the pilot and costs are clearly posted. Many pilots choose to have your portion donated directly to charity.

6. How does WrightSeat work?

Pilots post their upcoming flights on WrightSeat, including the date, time, destination, and total cost. Passengers can sign up for the flight and the cost is divided equally among the pilot and the passengers.

7. Who can use WrightSeat?

WrightSeat can be used by any licensed pilot regardless of currency. Of course, only pilots that meet the requirements can post flights but any licensed pilot can sign up for a ride.

8. Is WrightSeat safe?

Yes, WrightSeat requires that all participants are pilots themselves so everyone understands general aviation safety rules. Each individual should only fly if they are comfortable with the aircraft, the pilot, and the passengers. Each WrightSeat participant has the option to refuse the flight at anytime.

9. What kind of flight can I take on WrightSeat?

WrightSeat can take you anywhere one of your fellow pilots is already headed. Because these are not commercial flights you do need to have your own unique reason for going.

10. How much does it cost to book a WrightSeat?

It is free to be a member of the WrightSeat community. It is also free to post flights and bulletins for rides. There is a small processing fee for each ride that is actually taken paid by the passengers. The pilot does not pay a fee.

11. What if my WrightSeat cancelled?

As pilots, we all know there are many factors that change our flight plans, if your WrightSeat cancels you will be fully refunded. We can not guarantee your flight.

12. How do I communicate on WrightSeat?

WrightSeat has a built communication platform. Once you connect with your passenger communication will be availabel directly through the app.

13. Can I bring luggage on the flight?

It is important to communicate with the pilot in charge of the flight. As pilots we all understand the importance of weight and balance on aircraft. Communicate ahead of time and be safe.
